A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

Hi! Welcome to C. Creative!

I'm Carolyn and I'm the face behind the operation. I'm also the owner, designer, artist, bookkeeper, office manager, janitor, shipping department, envelope stuffer... it's a one woman show around here and I wear a lot of hats.

How I got here...

Two weeks before I was supposed to start my senior year of college, I accepted a dream job opportunity in NYC working in fashion. That opportunity led to other jobs I couldn't turn down, and several years on and off in New York. 

 

In 2016 I moved back to my home state of North Carolina and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. After graduating, I continued working in fashion doing design and production for a men's clothing company. In 2018, I took a chance with a local start up as a project manager.

 

By 2019, the start up went under. In the blink of an eye, the job I loved was gone. I was shell shocked and had no clue what my next move would be. While job hunting, I dove headfirst into my creative side. 

 

In August of 2019 I was designing my first invitations and by the end of that year I made the decision to go all in and make C. Creative my full time job.

 

Running a business has been the hardest yet most rewarding thing I've ever done. The fact that I get to do something I love every day (and that people actually want to pay me to do it!) is still crazy to me. Thank you for following along, and for allowing me to dream big.
